StuKon 25, Mathematikon @ Heidelberg!

The StuKon is the conference for all students and graduates of mathematics degree programs in Germany, organized by the German Mathematical Society (DMV). This year, it took place in the beautiful city of Heidelberg.

Das Mathematikon — things you love to see

The conference invites the eight best Bachelor’s theses to give a talk, and similarly for eight Master’s theses. I was subsequently recognized amongst a group of the best young mathematicians across all of Germany.

Our work introduces the notion of noise sensitivity on a new class of objects, that is of binary relations. As a highlighting example, we studied the phenomenon on equivalence relations, and showed that it is noise stable. The slides serve a really good introduction to these ideas, and the thesis takes care of the formalism.

Enjoying the July Summer

I was invited to Heidelberg as one of the speakers, making me the first graduate from my school to give a talk at the StuKon. This acknowlegdes our mathematics program status as one of the best across Germany, and opens doors for aspiring students in the future.

An award, a book on Masters of Abstraction by Peter Badge, and a nice flower :)

In the end, I would like to thank Prof. Soeren Petrat and Constructor University for making the trip to Heidelberg possible. I am grateful to Prof. Keivan Mallahi-Karai, my thesis supervisor, for his mentorship and support.
